Our News Room is now Open!

June 09, 2009 ..... Our news room has always been sort of sparse with new information, however since we have had the time to restart the site and gather information we should be able to keep track of what's going on out there!

We have redone the news room and you should be pleased with the new format. Since we need funds to run this site, and no one is donating funds to keep it online, we will have to place ads at the doorway. Unless you're interested in the ad, please wait until the ad finishes appearing before you click to remove it!

Mardi Gras Radio To Launch Soon!

Hammond, Louisiana .......( Monday, June 8, 2009 ) It has been in the works for sometime but finally the last pieces of gear are about to be put into place to launch Mardi Gras Radio in time for the summer of events and news that will define the upcoming 2010 season!

Clark Companies of N.C., Inc., has announced that sometime in the next 60 to 90 days they will formally launch their newest venture Mardi Gras Radio and it's website to desktop listeners across the Gulf coast so they can bring Louisiana music, talk, and Mardi Gras news on an eight hour a day schedule to start expanding as they can to a full 24/7 format!

"We've been planning this day for quite sometime", said Webmaster, and Station Mgr. Willie Clark. " We're just waiting now on the last pieces of gear to come in and be installed. We have asked local song writer Arden Lo, to write our Radio station's theme, and we have heard some great takes, it needs work, but we think the theme is almost complete. We'll be debuting that soon as well!

"Meanwhile you can visit, Mardi Gras Radio. com and listen to the jukebox, which we will fill completely up on July 7, 2009.

"We then turn our full attention to putting together a killer website and getting Digest back to the core business of gathering the news of Carnival from across the Gulf Coast."

In these tough times, Captains can't over look anything!

June 8, 2009    These are tough times, and with every penny being watched like a hawk, the BBQ's and Fish Fry's wearing very thin in attendance, you would think these captains wouldn't miss a trick to turn a dollar.

However, there are a fist full of dollars that are escaping the krewes with websites! Ads, why don't these guys get out here and solicit the businesses for ads?

Why aren't the krewes hitting up the business community for donations, and trying to offer a service at the same time? I don't get it! If I were a Krewe captain with a budget problem I would be hitting up the large corporations for all kinds of cash.
