 Mississippi’s Gulf Coast Mardi Gras celebration traces its roots back all the way to 1908. With more than 69 Krewes and organizations, sponsoring over 20 + parades during Carnival Season, Mississippi boasts a rich tradition and heritage.




 

Krewes across the Gulf Coast are encouraged to send in your reports to us by email  or telephone us and we will get the reports up so your members and fans can see and participate

Mississippi's Finest! One of Carnival's  Most Unique!

The Biloxi, MS organization, "Second Liners", has the unique distinction of being one of the regions, double nickel clubs. An organization that is a civic organization as well as a Krewe. There are only 9 such clubs in the entire gulf coast.

KREWE OF REAL PEOPLE MARDI GRAS PARADE Now Set For February 5th, 2008 

The Krewe of Real People parades through downtown Bay St. Louis. It is one of two (2) Gulf Coast only predominantly African-American Krewes. 

This parade is one of the Bay’s BEST- attended by locals & visitors alike! This coming season  marks the 26th Anniversary of the Krewe of Real People!

Parade route is down Main Street, turns on to 2nd Street on to Union Street continuing to Blaize Avenue in front of the Historic Depot!

We get request each year for membership, parade participation, costume purchases, or schools & universities wanting to know more about the history of the group. Please register with us  and provide a contact so we may pass on requests, proposals, and etc.
