Digest's TOP 6 PARADE TIPS:
![]()
6.
Be mindful of where you park. Avoid the parade route and NO PARKING signs, fire hydrants, driveways, sidewalks, right-of-ways and private property. Just because others are parking there doesn't mean its legal!
You will pay ~ $65 to get your car back plus a $50 fine.
5. Don't bring a purse with you to the
parade. Don't carry a lot of money in your wallet. DO bring bags to carry your parade goodies in!
4. If you want to drink alcohol at the parade, go ahead and do it. If you want to bring a cooler full of beer, go ahead and bring it.
Just be careful that you don't over do it.
3. If you take children with you, be sure to go to your favorite parade spot early. This way they can get a front row spot on the barricades and see the entire parade unobstructed, and you can
easily keep a close eye on them.
2. Be courteous to those around
you. Parade veterans, share your experience with the first-timers standing next to you.
1. Don't climb over the barricades, fines this year are now up to $152. Instead, bring a long broomstick or pole with a small rake or
back-scratcher attached to the end to pull in those out of
reach throws. You can buy the aluminum poles with the end effector on it to
grasp your bead or pie. You _can_ stand on the bottom rail of the barricades as long as both legs are on the crowd side (but not with one leg over on the parade side).
