Attention krewes, Ball Orgs!Call for 2008 Ball Stories & Royal PhotosMardi Gras Digest will publish reports of Mardi Gras krewe balls this season from all five states of the gulf coast. We want to be sure that we include your royal couples as they begin their reign for the current fiscal year. Please be sure to forward any and all ball stories to us, as you would your local paper, so we can publish their names, biographies, courts, business affiliations, krewes, ball organizations, etc, etc., on the website and the forthcoming magazine. With the stories you must include at least three (3) shots of the royalty and the ball. Photographs of organization's king and queen, in tuxedo and gown, and if already made their royal robes and attire, may be submitted in a .tiff format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Digital photos files should be taken with a minimum pixel size camera of no less than 4 mega pixel. The file can be sent in .tif or .jpg and should be unaltered. Send text flies numbered with the same name and number sequence as the photo. Photos of the court may accompany the submission and if we have room in the magazine we will utilize them as well. E-mail is preferred. Send to editor@mardigrasdigest.com. Please put "Carnival balls" in the subject line. Be sure to include a name and contact phone number of the royal couple, on the information submitted, in case we should have questions, or select the royalty for an in-depth interview. | If you would like your photos returned, please include a self addressed stamped envelope with your submission and as we scan the photos we will return them to you. Make sure you include enough postage to get your pictures back to you. |
