Are we witnessing a resurgence of the Baby Dolls?

March 23, 2004   New Orleans, LA. ......They call themselves K-Doe's Baby dolls. 

The group meets every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Mother-in-Law Lounge in old Treme'. The night we attended the meeting they took in another four members and are currently making plans to host an Easter Egg Hunt in Armstrong Park.  

New Hot 8 Brass Band Album Out!

 New Orleans, La.   Sept. 4, 2004 ...   "Rock With the Hot 8" has been released.  On August  20, 2004, the self-released disc includes ten scorching tracks, recorded at New Orleans' Festival Studios.  We caught up with the Brass Band and got a preview on the new release.   [  Story  ]

Rascals Brass Band Single still Kicking it 3 yrs later... 

"Knock with me ....Rock with me", is still being played far more on the radio than any other Brass Band tune in the last 3 yrs.  On WWOZ the requests line lights up hard for the tune during the Saturday night Brass band Jam. Last season it was the most played tune on regular radio during Carnival. Now Digest names the tune to it's Top 40 Mardi Gras Tunes, what gives???  .... [ Story ]
