  There are nearly 65 or so bands. We don't have all of them listed here but are working to identify all of them. The oldest of these walking brass bands is the Treme Brass Band, first heard from in 1890. If we do not have you listed here and you wish to be, contact us so we can get your info.

 The Pinettes Brass Band, the world's only female brass band, was formed by Jeffery Herbert in 1991. Each member born and raise in New Orleans, Louisiana, attended St. Mary's Academy, an all-girl catholic school.
