If you are Using our Content? It is copyrighted material, and as such you need to give us the credit We deserve and need?

       This page will be used to cite legal warning to other websites on the net! We no longer allow others to republish any of our articles, and at this time we are asking that pursuant to our policy and procedures, that any instances of articles, timelines, opinions and various images, all over the internet, on many sites, be brought into compliance or removed. The problem, as these articles, and other pieces of our intellectual property, are copyrighted, and others are now starting to use them in commercial ventures, against its source. 

   Webmasters are taking articles and images, etc., making small changes to the text and dropping them into their sites, which requires a deliberate action on their part to simply use copyrighted material as their own. Thus, the finished articles & images may have the same text but the formatting is very, different. While initially we wanted an open site that all could use, especially the education systems that were linked into the site, but now, there are those who are using our site to profit from our work!  

Therefore, the policy of this website has now changed from an open source to a closed source, and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Educational sites, students and teachers are exempt from this policy change and your access to this site will remain unrestricted, as long as your admin links back or gives credit to us. Sites such as Wiki, and any site that has our permission to carry our content, or has given us the credit as required are also exempt!

The method of gaining a large number of incoming links, "I give you something (an article, i.e., content) and you give me something (a link back to my site) has been abused and is now discontinued. From this point forward, All articles and images must be linked to, they are not to be pulled off the site in any way. Do so and you risk legal action against you and your site. 

If your site is currently using our content, and wishes to continued to do so, starting on 05-01-2010, you have 10 days to contact us via phone for a verbal ok, and we will email you written permission from us to continue to display images and text. However, this will only occur if you are prepared to link to us and give credit to the site for the images and information. 

If you can't do this, then don't use it! If we catch you, you will receive a letter of notice and settlement. So far we have collected over $3125 in fines, don't you be next!!!!

After all, we place considerable time, money and effort into acquiring the content we place on our website. We actually go into the field, libraries, and archives, do interviews, and track down info and people. It's only right, that we expect, and demand , the credit that should go along with the usage of our material. We also pay for the bandwidth you use when you steal images from us as well!  Since simply asking for this was not sinking in, we're making money from it now!

To all other sites, please don't steal our content, style and ideas. Just because we announce we're going to do something soon, isn't a green light to you to rush and do it first. I really need to tell some of you this, especially the big websites out there, but when you rush things, often you get the idea wrong! Then perform it badly!

If you use our content, all we ask, is that you please, link to the content, and at least give us the credit for digging up the info. Do not take the content from our website, do not take images from our website, do not take and change our content and think that will save you from court!  Failing that, we'll see you in Small claims court.

We have obtained the services of a legal firm and they will take you to court for breaches of our content policy! You will receive a letter of notice and settlement, which you have 14 days to take advantage of. After 14 days we will file papers on you and take you to court to obtain a judgment against you, after which we will file attachment papers on you or your website!
