New Orleans, La. ------
"Before, you got Mardi Gras news, by a magazine that came out once a year, with updates papers about 3 times a year, and of course, there are the seasonal websites, where the news
was always very outdated" says Willie Clark, Jr., the current webmaster and founder of the site. " But there was always a lot more happening during the year, that practically no one knew about. They were barely scratching the
surface. There are the very beautiful Mardi Gras Indians, the second line organizations, as well as, the Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs, Mardi Gras Ball organizations, costume designers, Float builders, walking clubs,
very obscure groups, etc., and that names only a few of the well known aspects of Mardi Gras.
There was a lot of news out there that was not getting to the carnival goers until now. "Our job is not to try and replace
the Mardi Gras Guide. Because of it's very format, Hardy can't carry everything." Our sole job,
is to get all the news, that's happening and get very in-depth knowledge on all subjects and to be the number one source for news on Mardi Gras."
"We will continue to expand as needed, to be sure everything is covered. Treat us just like CNN,
but for Carnival celebrations, because we will seek out and report on Mardi Gras news everywhere. Full time, with constant weekly
updates, But we need your help in getting the word out. Call us with your Mardi Gras News items no matter where you live....we want to know! We can be reached at
504-756-9456, or log on to the site and leave an email."
Digest is constructing plans for a HD radio programs that will once again begin to report the news in an audio format using streaming media. That will resume in Mid 2007, after Mardi Gras. We are even now purchasing the audio boards and microphones, the CD recorders, etc. The goal is to stream LIVE programs to you so you can enjoy music and live call-in conversation at work! Our long term goals are to serve LIVE streaming media of the parades to you! Also, to bring to you pre-recorded programs on different channels. Mardi Gras TV as it were. Of course all that's in the future. "Tell your friends and those who love Mardi Gras that their full time news site is here," say Mr. Clark, "We now cover Mardi Gras Full time. It's going to take some time for us to get everything up
and running, then fully penetrate the system and become well known. But with everyone's help, we'll make it."
